Description

Make your kitchen feel like a high-end seafood restaurant with this simple and delicious air fryer swordfish recipe. This dish delivers restaurant-quality results in minutes and works great for busy weeknights!

The air-fried swordfish steaks come out with a beautifully seasoned crust and juicy interior. You’ll need just 15 minutes from fridge to table. This recipe works perfectly for casual family meals and will impress your dinner guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 swordfish steaks (8 oz each).
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil.
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning.
  • Fresh lemon wedges for serving.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish.

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Heat your air fryer to 400°F until fully preheated.
  2. Prepare the Fish: Pat the swordfish steaks dry with paper towels. This vital step will give a better texture and helps seasonings stick.
  3. Season: Brush both sides with olive oil and season them really well with lemon pepper seasoning.
  4. Arrange: Put the seasoned steaks in your air fryer basket. Leave space between them so air can circulate.
  5. Cook: Air fry for 8-10 minutes and flip halfway through until the internal temperature hits 145°F.
  6. Finish: Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes after removing from the air fryer. Add fresh parsley and lemon wedges before serving.

Notes

Add 4-5 minutes to cooking time for frozen swordfish.

An instant-read thermometer gives you the most accurate doneness check.

Your fish should flake easily with a fork once cooked.

Space between steaks in the air fryer basket helps achieve even cooking.
