- 1 pound linguine pasta
- 2 pounds large uncooked shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 6 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/3 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 15 seconds. The garlic should not burn.
- Place shrimp in the pan and cook until pink, about 3 minutes on each side.
- Season with salt and red pepper flakes, then add lemon juice. Let the mixture simmer.
- Mix the cooked pasta with the shrimp mixture. Toss everything together and add reserved pasta water if needed.
- Add fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese as garnish before serving.

- Save 1/2 cup pasta’s water before draining to adjust sauce consistency
- Add 1/4 cup white wine during step 4 to boost flavor
