Ingredients

Scale

For the Fish:

  • 2 pounds sea bass filets
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

For the Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to high heat.
  2. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, lemon pepper, and sea salt.
  3. Pat the fish completely dry with paper towels, straightaway season both sides generously with the spice mixture.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the butter sauce by melting butter with garlic and parsley in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  5. First thing to remember: lightly oil your grill grates to prevent sticking.
  6. Place the seasoned fish on the grill and cook for 7 minutes.
  7. After the initial cooking time, turn the fish and begin basting with the prepared butter sauce.
  8. Continue cooking for an additional 7 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Notes

– The fish should reach an internal temperature of 145°F for proper doneness
– Generally, make shallow cuts in the skin to prevent curling during cooking
– In essence, avoid moving the fish too much during the first few minutes of cooking
– Undoubtedly, using a fish spatula helps prevent breaking the filets
