This air fryer mahi mahi recipe turns fresh or frozen filets into an amazing main course in just 10 minutes. Each piece comes out flaky and tender with a well-seasoned exterior that makes traditional cooking methods obsolete.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 mahi mahi filets (about 6 oz each).
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika.
  • 1 teaspoon granulated garlic.
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper.
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt.
  • Fresh lemon juice for serving.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F.
  2. Rinse the mahi mahi filets and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. Coat the filets with olive oil or melted butter.
  4. Season both sides with the spice mixture.
  5. Place the seasoned filets in the air fryer basket without letting them touch.
  6. Cook for 8-10 minutes and flip halfway through.
  7. Check that fish reaches an internal temperature of 137°F.
  8. Take out from air fryer and drizzle with fresh lemon juice.

Notes

Thaw frozen filets completely before cooking.

Leave space between filets in the air fryer basket.

Check fish after 8 minutes since cooking time depends on filet thickness.

Keep leftovers in an airtight container up to 3 days.
